Determination of trace elements in gallstones by neutron activation analysis

Description
Concentrations of twenty-four major and trace metals were determined in the gallstones obtained from Malaysian patients. The data were analysed by thermal neutron activation analysis. All the stones contained exceptionally high amount of calcium which is of the order of 104 ppm. High amount of copper was not detected in the Malaysian gallstones in contrast to the Scottish gallstones. (author)
