Statistical processing of the events from a spark chamber telescope
Description
The authors examine a procedure for obtaining information on polarization of secondary protons from the reaction x+p → π0+p in accord with the results of processing of experimental data. The maximum likelihood method was used to assesss the polarization and dispersion values of the above magnitude. In evaluating polarization, statistical data for 1.000 events were shown to be adequate
