Local acceleration of electrons of the plasma near a satellite by the radio emission of a powerful on-board transmitter
Description
The dependence of the intensity of stimulated bursts of accelerated electrons on the parameters f/f /sub ce/ and f /sub pe/ /f /sub ce/ , where f /sub pe/ and f /sub ce/ are the local plasma frequency and gyrofrequency of the electrons, respectively, and f is the ''pumping'' frequency, is investigated from the materials of an experiment on the Interkosmos-19 satellite. As a result of the analysis it was found that the predominant electron acceleration occurs near certain transmitter emission frequencies, dependent on the parameters of the plasma around the satellite, and the intensity maxima of the accelerated electrons in the bursts from individual branches of the f/f /sub ce/ -f /sub pe/ /f /sub ce/ plane
