Description

The polarization resistance of the [Fe(CN)6]4--[Fe(CN)6]3- redox system on oxide layers of artificial origin and on those formed on heat-transfer surfaces due to waterside corrosion was measured in dependence on the concentration of the redox system and of OH- ions. The role of these dependences in corrosion processes is pointed out, and examples of the use of these results in the measurement of the catalytic efficiency factor of oxide layers formed on heat-transfer surfaces due to waterside corrosion are given.
