Description
The major surface physics research techniques using synchrotron radiation are reviewed. They are: synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectroscopy (SRPES), surface extended x-ray absorption fine structure (SEXAFS), photoelectron diffraction (PED) and grazing incidence x-ray diffraction (GIXD). The aspects dealt include the basic principles, applications and recent progress of each technique
