Description

The characteristic parameters (contrast, sharpness, noise and dose) and theoretical interrelationships concerning the production of luminescent light of film-screen systems in biomedical radiography are described. The practical aspects of rare-earth screens are then considered with regard to achieving even further dose reductions and their effect on image quality. (U.K.)
