Description

To limit the mechanical effects of pressure vessel rupture: shock wave, jet and reaction forces, and flying fragments a protective steel shield has been developed and tested. The shield is designed to form a shell around the pressure vessel, consisting of two or more pieces held together by bolted overlap connections. (orig./HP)
