Cascade leptonic decays of D and F mesons and possible bounds on the ν/sub tau/ mass
- 1. Moscow Engineering-Physics Institute
Description
It is shown that the upper limit on the tau-neutrino mass can be decreased significantly by analyzing the energy spectra of secondary leptons (electrons and muons) from cascade decays of D+- and F+- mesons produced in e+e- annihilation via the channels D+-(F+-) →tau+- +ν/sub tau/(nu-bar/sub tau/) and tau+-→1+-+ν1(nu-bar1)+nu-bar/sub tau/(μ/sub tau/). The cascade decay of the D meson is the most suitable for this purpose
