Valence states of copper atoms in copper metal-oxides defined on the change of 64 Cu electron capture constant

Description
Change in the constant of the 64 Cu isotope electron capture is measured for Cu2O, YBa2Cu3O7, YBa2Cu3O6, Nd2CuO4, Nd1.8Ce0.2CuO4, La2CuO4, La1.7Sr0.3CuO4, Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 compounds. The conclusion is made that copper in the YBa2Cu3O7, Nd2CuO4, La2CuO4, La1.7Sr0.3CuO4, Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8, Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 compounds is only bivalent, whereas in the Cu2O, YBa2Cu3O6 and Nd1.8Ce0.2CuO4 it is univalent
