Description

Sampling inspection of nuclear power plants is used for quality assurance, reinspection and reevaluation, and verification of compliance with different regulations. There are four principal advantages of sampling over a complete inspection of a population. These advantages are discussed in this paper. The cost of inspection is proportional to the sample size. The data can be collected and evaluated quickly with a sample rather than a complete population. The other advantages of sampling are greater scope and greater accuracy
