Isotope separator
Description
Purpose: In an isotope separating device using lasers, to make it possible to efficiently separate and arrest desired specific isotope ions generated, thereby attempting to reduce the quantity of energies consumed such as laser energy, ultraviolet ray energy and the like. Constitution: An electrode encircling a range where atoms of a desired specific isotope or molecules containing said atoms are ionized and an electrode held at a potential more negative than that of said electrode are provided. These electrodes are arranged such that atom ions of the desired specific isotope or molecule ions containing the atoms are accelerated by the potential difference between these two electrodes.
