Creators

  • 1. Kitt Peak National Observatory, Tucson, Arizona

Description

Image-tube photographs of 41 galaxies are reproduced as an atlas. On the basis of photographs taken in the light of H alpha and in the red continuum, H II regions are identified and plotted on a sketch which also shows the distribution of dust in the galaxy. Detailed comments are made for each galaxy.
