Observations on turbulence and confinement in pinches and tokamaks

Description

The structure of turbulent fluctuations in the outer regions of a pinch (ZETA) and a tokamak (TOSCA) are compared. Low frequency fluctuations in both cases are associated with MHD activity, the high frequency fluctuations give rise to diffusion coefficients which can account for the observed transport
