Anodic electrodeposition and characterization of CdTe thin films

  • 1. Texas Univ., Arlington, TX (USA). Dept. of Chemistry

Description

Cadium chalcogenides have emerged as promising phtoelectrode candidates for liquid junction solar cell applications. While the cathodic electrodeposition of these materials is a fairly established technique, studies on anodic (chalcogenization) methods are sparse, and are largely limited to CdS. In this paper, the authors present strategies for anodic deposition of CdTe thin films. These films have been characterized by a variety of in situ and ex situ probes including cyclic photovoltammetry, SEM, ESCA, AES and scanning Auger microscopy (SAM)
