Ageing management in nuclear power plants. Version 2022-11
Description
(1) This safety standard applies to the procedures of ageing-management regarding the safety-related Technical Facilities - including the respective auxiliary and operating media - that are specified in the licensing documents and operating instructions of light water reactors still in operation. Special emphasis is placed on physical ageing under consideration of newer findings with respect to ageing processes. Requirements for the handling of long-term stored radioactive substances are specified in KTA 3604 Sec. 8.3. (2) This safety standard applies, furthermore, to the procedures of ageing-management regarding the basic qualification and maintenance of competence and know-how of the personnel and, also, to the documentation and the data from information and operation management systems. (3) The scope of this safety standard does not extend to the repercussions of any conceptual developments.

(1) Diese Regel ist anzuwenden auf die in den Genehmigungsunterlagen und den Betriebsvorschriften der jeweiligen Anlage festgelegten sicherheitstechnisch wichtigen Technischen Einrichtungen einschließlich zugehöriger Hilfs- und Betriebsstoffe von in Betrieb befindlichen Leichtwasserreaktoren. Behandelt wird die physikalische Alterung unter Berücksichtigung neuer Erkenntnisse im Hinblick auf alterungsrelevante Sachverhalte. Hinweis: Anforderungen an den Umgang mit längerfristig gelagerten radioaktiven Stoffen sind in KTA 3604 Abschnitt 8.3 enthalten. (2) Darüber hinaus werden Vorgehensweisen hinsichtlich Qualifizierung, Kompetenz- und Know-how-Erhalt des Personals sowie der Dokumentation und der Daten aus Informations- und Betriebsführungssystemen für das Alterungsmanagement behandelt. (3) Auswirkungen konzeptioneller Weiterentwicklungen sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Regel.Additional details
