A two-point kinetic model for the PROTEUS reactor
Description
A two-point reactor kinetic model for the PROTEUS-reactor is developed and the results are described in terms of frequency dependent reactivity transfer functions for the core and the reflector. It is shown that at higher frequencies space-dependent effects occur which imply failure of the one-point kinetic model. In the modulus of the transfer functions these effects become apparent above a radian frequency of about 100 s-1, whereas for the phase behaviour the deviation from a point model already starts at a radian frequency of 10 s-1.
