Integrated methods for both processes synthesis and design by using process simulator and project data base

Description

The fundamental research program was concerned with developing new ideas, concepts and methods in the development of computer - based technique for modelling, simulation and design for the process industries. Preliminary flowsheets for gas separation from liquid phase and wastewater purification led to using of the process simulators for simulation of existing processes and for simulation of new processes also. Effective techniques and methods for process synthesis were developed. Mathematical models and FORTRAN programs were developed for process units which were not available in the process simulator. The accomplished activities in the frame of this project enabled us to establish a new computer laboratory at the Department of Chemical Control Engineering at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy.
