Description
The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) engages in the development and provision of various national standards related to radiation dose. Of these, the radiation standard research group performs studies on dose standards of X-rays, γ-rays, and β-rays. As the dose standards of X-rays and γ-rays, it provides air kerma rate, irradiation dose, and water-absorbed dose. As for the intensity of dose, various fields such as environment, protection, diagnosis, and medical treatment are covered. In the radiation protection field, this group also established the tissue absorbed-dose standards against β-rays, and started the calibration in FY2006. In the radiation treatment field, too, it has developed in recent years the dose standards for linac high-energy photon beams for medical use and brachytherapy. This paper explains these dose standards for X-rays, γ-rays, and β-rays. (A.O.)

産業技術総合研究所(産総研)では,放射線量に関する様々な国家標準の開発,供給を行っている。このうち,放射線標準研究グループでは,X線,γ線,β線の線量標準について研究を行っている。X線·γ線の線量標準として,空気カーマ·照射線量·水吸収線量を供給している。線量の強度としては,環境·防護·診断·治療領域をカバーしている。放射線防護領域では,β線による組織吸収線量標準も設定を行い,2006年度から校正を開始した。また,放射線治療領域では,医療用リニアック高エネルギー光子線,小線源治療用線量標準などを近年開発した。本解説では,これらX線·γ線·β線の線量標準に関して概説する。(日本)Additional details
