Description
With the silicate Co2SiO4 as an example it is investigated how far the issues of the defect theory of ternary ionic crystals can be transferred to simple crystalline members of an important class of materials whose essential structure element is an anion group (SiO4-tetrahedron). The results on the diffusion of the stable isotope Si-30 and of the radioactive isotope Co-60 are used to derive the point defect necessary for the transport of silicon; furtheron the mechanism of the solid state reaction between the binary starting oxides is discussed. Abstract (German)
Additional details
