Preparation and properties of hydrazinates of rare earth tetrahydroborates

Conditions of preparation of hydrazinates of rare earth tetrahydroborates in organic solvents (THF, toluene, n-hexane, benzene) are studied. The optimal ratio of components, rare earth tetraborate-hydrazine, is 1:4. At the temperature of 20-25 deg Ln(BH4)3x4N2H4(Ln-La,Gd and Lu) are prepared, their individuality is confirmed by the methods of chemical and IR spectroscopic analyses. The compounds prepared are while in colour, react but slowly with water and decompose intensively when in contact with acid. The diagram of the compound thermolysis is presented
