Modification of the MKh-1320 mass spectrometer with the PMKh-02 set-up for chemical ionization for study on processes with charged particles

Description

A modification of the MKh-1320 mass spectrometer with the PMKh-02 chemical ionization set-up allowing one to study the processes with the participation of positive and negative ions and electrons under pulsed regime, is described. An example of the process studying in the air with small SF6 addition (≅ 0.5%) under 1.5 torr pressure, is presented. Time distributions for the O+, O2+, H2O+, H3O+, H3O+xH2O, O-, O2-, OH-, SF6-, SF5-, F- ion and electron yields from the ionization chamber, are obtained
