Description
Optical absorption and luminescence spectra of the tripositive rare earth ions in Li,K LnP/sub 4/O/sub 12/ crystals are reported. A crystal - field analysis of these data is performed that is based on Hamiltonian of C/sub 1/ point-group symmetry, including J-mixing effects
