Description
The US Council for Energy Awareness sponsored the Fuel Cycle '92 conference in Charleston, SC on March 22-25, 1992. Over 250 participants attended, 17 papers were presented, and a panel discussion was held. The theme of the conference was navigation of the changing international commercial nuclear fuel cycle. Brief summaries of selected papers and the panel discussion comprise the remainder of this article. Much of the discussion, both in the form of presented papers and the panel discussion, centered around the back end of the fuel cycle, i.e. waste processing/disposal decommissioning
