Description

Using a projection onto an electron pair Hilbert space which includes that of Slater determinants, a BCS-like hamiltonian hBCS is derived from the Hubbard one h and named so because hBCS acts inside a subspace of pairs all having the same momentum. It is shown for an arbitrary crystal dimension and electron concentration that the eigenbasis of h contains that of hBCS with the same corresponding eigenvalues. Application is given in one dimension. ((orig.))
