Preparation and pre-clinical evaluation of radioiodinated IBZP

  • 1. Nucl. Medicine Lab. of Ministry of Public Health, Wuxi (China)

Description

In developing new receptor-site specific brain imaging agents for SPECT, 131I-IBZP and 125I-IBZP: the D1 specific dopamine binding agent, were prepared. Carrier free 125I and 131I IBZP were labelled with the chloramine-T method. The radioactive and nonradioactive starting material could be separated from the desired product on HPLC. In vitro receptor binding test, in vivo rat biodistribution and SPECT imaging in monkey brain showed the radioiodinated IBZP binds with high affinity to specific D1 receptor binding sites in the striatum of the rat and monkey. These preliminary date indicated that this agent may be utilized to investigate the D1 receptors in human
