Ceramic processing of high-T/sub c/ superconductors
- 1. Materials and Components Technology Div., Argonne National Lab., 9700 South Cass Avenue, Argonne, IL (USA)
Description
The means by which superconducting YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-x/ powders can be synthesized are summarized. Methods of forming powders into useful shapes are then described. Lastly, heat treatment schedules used for consolidation of the powders into dense, sound bodies with good superconducting properties are discussed
