By using ultrasonography in addition to mammography, experienced diagnosticians essentially enhance the safety of their diagnosis of mammary gland diseases. The same applies to gynecomastia, the condition after plastic surgery, and mastitis. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Der erfahrene Untersucher erhoeht mit dem Einsatz der Sonographie zusaetzlich zur Mammographie die diagnostische Sicherheit bei Brustdruesenerkrankungen ganz wesentlich. Dies trifft auch fuer die Gynaekomastie, den Zustand nach plastischen Operationen und die Mastitis zu. (orig.)
