Detection of solar neutrino with xenon detector

Description
The possibility of the low-energy solar neutrino detection through the scattering reactions in the XMASS scintillation detector on the basic of the liquid xenon is studied. The detector characteristics and its radioactive background modeling is carried out by the Monte-Carlo method through the GEANT and DECAY-4 programs. The principle possibility of detecting the p-p-neutrino in the XMASS facility is shown. The number of events of the νe-e- scattering reactions for 23.3-ton XMASS detector with the active mass of 10 t constitutes approximately 17 in a day
Abstract (Russian)
Изучается возможность регистрации низкоэнергетических солнечных нейтрино с помощью реакций рассеяния в сцинтилляционном детекторе XMASS на основе жидкого ксенона. Методом Монте-Карло с помощью программ GEANT и DECAY-4 проведено моделирование характеристик детектора и его радиационного фона. Показана принципиальная возможность регистрации р-р-нейтрино в установке ХMASS. Число событий реакций νe-e--рассеяния для 23.3-тонного XMASS-детектора с активной массой 10 т составит ∼17 в суткиAdditional details
