Calculation of electromagnetic fields in periodical structures

Description
The problem for calculating the eigenfrequencies and electromagnetic fields in assymmetric periodical structures is formulated. Both the periodicity of structure and that of field are taken into account. A method for numerical solution of the obtained spectral problem is suggested. All calculations are made only on one section of structure. It permits to calculate dispersion characteristics of the structure containing an arbitrary number of periods, that was impossible in principle in earlier known formulations and methods for solution of this problem
