On the effect of structure parameters and deformation rate on carbon steel brittleness temperature

Description
On high carbon steel having polihedral shaped ferrite grains it was shown that the critical grain size when ductile-brittle transition took place decreased with increasing of the globular comentite volume fracture. Deformation rate decreasing resulted in transient temperature reduction. In this case the value of the transient temperature change was directly proportional to cementite volume fraction and inversely proportional to ferrite grain critical size
