Description

A team of international experts visited the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station (PNGS) to review the operating practices at this eight-unit plant and to provide assistance and advice on how plant safety might further be enhanced. The team reviewed documentation, observed work being carried out, examined procedures and instructions and interviewed plant personnel. In general the station was well maintained and operated by a competent and knowledgeable staff. The team found all the equipment, personnel and resources necessary at PNGS to ensure continued safe operation of the station. However, 79 areas were identified where improvements could be made
