Coulomb repulsion and short-range attraction revisited. General report
Description
The exact Coulomb interaction between two discrete systems (three charges at the vertices of an equilateral triangle) in head-on collision is discussed. The results are quite different from standard continuous classical approximations. In particular, the possibility of classical transparency clearly arises. Additionally, some short-range effects can be justified by the difference between an exact calculation (as described herein) and the standard approximate models
