Spin flip probability of 6.9 MeV protons in inelastic scattering on 24Mg
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Yadernykh Issledovanij
Description
The probabilities are studied of the spin exchange of 6.9 MeV protons in inelastic scattering on a nucleus of 24Mg. The work is done on a cyclotron proton beam. The two-dimensional spectrum of p'γ-coincidences and the one-dimensional spectrum of scattered protons have been recorded in the experiment simultaneously. The angular dependence of S at the energy of impinging protons, equal to Esub(p)=6.9 MeV, differs substantially from analogous dependences at Esub(p)=20 MeV and Esub(p) approximately 10 MeV and is similar in shape to the dependences of S at Esub(p)=4 MeV for 24Mg and Esub(p)=6 MeV for 28Si
