Description
The transformer is one major equipment in nuclear power plant. It would result in incalculable loss in safe operation and economic benefits in case of a transformer fire. Since the commercial operation of two units, many improvements have been made by TQNPP to enhance the transformer fire prevention and fire emergency response to ensure safety of the plant fire protection These improvements include re-selection and arrangement of the pipeline and sprinklers in the water spray extinguishing system in the transformer area, change in the way of fire water discharge in the transformer area, optimization of the fire detection system and addition of transformer oil chromatographic online monitoring system. As a result of the above improvements, the fire safety level of the plant transformer has been enhanced. (authors)
