Combined function lattices for a 6 GeV synchrotron light source

Description

Some characteristics of the ''undulator'' machine proposed a few months ago are discussed. The basic cell is an achromatic arc with three dipoles, having a vertical focusing gradient. The optical functions are shown and the main machine parameters are listed. This machine seems to have a resonable dynamic aperture and a good chromatic behavior but has period length of approx. 35 m. The reduction of the period length implies a reduction of the dynamic aperture. The results are summarized and the corresponding dynamic apertures are shown
