Resonant atomic resolution X-ray/g-ray external source holography
- 1. Dept. of Theoretical Physics, Univ. of Trieste, Trieste (Italy)
Description
Stimulated by a recent paper reporting experimental results on γ-ray external source holography, we have here provided the theoretical description of the process using relativistic quantum electrodynamical methods. The energy of the incoming photon is low enough to produce resonant scattering from the nuclei surrounding the nucleus absorber. The method applies of course also to the case of an x-ray external source with photons interacting in this case with the atoms of the material sample. (author)
