Description
The electron impact excitation (EIE) collision strengths of He-like Fe24+ ions form the ground state 1s21S0 to all of excited states 1s2s and 1s2p are calculated systematically by using the fully relativistic distorted-wave program REIE06. Based on those calculations, the influence of the radiative cascade effects on the values of the x/w, y/w and z/w [w: 1s21S0→1s2p 1P1, x: 1s21S0→1s2p 3P2, y: 1s21S0→1s2p 3P1, z: 1s21S0→1s2s 3S1] line-intensity ratio are discussed systematically at two electron energies: 6.68 Kev and 9.94 KeV. Some important conclusions are summarized. Also, comparisons of the present calculations with the available other calculations and experimental results are made. (authors)
