Description
A particularly important and not yet sufficiently solved problem is the removal of highly radio toxic actinides from high level liquid nuclear waste formed during the reprocessing of the spent nuclear fuel and to separate the actinides from the more abundant lanthanides. A general approach in the field of actinide/lanthanide separation is to connect chelating groups to p reorganized scaffolds to improve both the extraction efficiency and the selectivity. In a general study the influence of different types of platforms, viz. trityl, C-pivot and CT V, containing known ligands has been investigated
