Description
Possibilities of utilising nuclear energy as an alternative heat source for processes which require temperature in the range 750-900 deg C are examined. An intermediate heat exchanger is needed for safety and reliability. Minimum resistance to heat transfer with a maximum resistance to cross contamination between the HTR helium coolant and the process gases should be involved. Design and metallurgical requirements are studied. An example is given using dfferent well known inconel or inco
