Description
Using a Single-photon-counting CCD, X-ray emission spectra of high purity Mo irradiated by ultra-short and ultra-intense laser pulse was firstly detected. The experiment was carried out with the SILEX-1 laser facility. The experimental results show that, for Mo target, characteristic K-shell emission (Kα) is observed in the 0.23-2.32 J energy range in addition to a broadband Bremsstrahlung background, and the X-ray radiation intensity, thermal radiation and Bremsstrahlung increase with enhancement of the laser power density.
