Description
Investigations, conducted by N.V. Timofeev-Resovsky, concerning the development of the problem on genome ploidy role in cell radiostability, are well known. Disclosure of cell diploid-specific repair and growing effects allowed to take a new view of ploidy classical problem and to shown, that these effects, mainly, provide for the increased radiostability of diploid yeast cells, as compared to haploid ones
