Numerical simulation of ECRH in an open trap and scheme of Thomson diagnostics of electron energy spectrum

Description
Results are presented of simulating electron-cyclotron resonance plasma heating in an open trap on the base of numerical solution of the Fokker-Planck equation for the nonstationary two-dimensional electron distribution function in velocities. It is shown that it is possible to select three groups of electrons with different characteristic energy values. Corresponding spectra of laser radiation Thomson scattering are calculated and an algorithm for electron energy spectrum diagnostics is proposed
