Description

More than 2100 specialists have graduated from the Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering, which was established in 1955 and since 1959 has been part of the Czech Technical University in Prague; most of them take active part in the development of the Czechoslovak nuclear programme. At present the main fields of study are: nuclear power engineering including the dosimetry and applications of ionizing radiation, the theory and technology of nuclear reactors, mathematical engineering, physical engineering and nuclear chemical engineering. A detailed account is given of the lectures on the dosimetry and applications of ionizing radiation read in individual years including postgraduate lectures. (Z.M.)
