Description
This letter comments on the Report of the U.K. Government's Advisory Committee on Irradiated and Novel Foods (April 1986), and points out the report's lack of detailed analysis of the available evidence. Concern is also expressed concerning the need to change monitoring and testing systems and over the creation of free radicals and radiolytic chemicals and the results of feeding studies. (U.K.)
