Description
The surface and bulk properties of the high-temperature superconductor YBa2 (Cu1-xFex)3O7-y were compared by means of conversion-electron and transmission 57 Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy at room temperature. A model, based on the crystal structure and an enhanced oxygen content at the grain surfaces, is proposed
