The processes of radiation-induced crosslinking and scission in poly(fluoroacrylates)

Description

Processes of radiation-induced crosslinking and scission in polyfluoroalkylacrylates (PAN-2, PFN-1, copolymer FN-1/AN-2) prepared by means of substance and radiation initiation have been studied. In the case of radiation initiation the formation of crosslinked structures occurs already in the course of polymer synthesis. During chemical initiation using cross-linking agents linear polymers soluble in acetone have been prepared which are crosslinked under the effect of γ-radiation (dose rate being 1.5 Gy/s). As regards efficiency of the structures formation and radiation resistance, the polymers studied can be arranged in the series: PAn-2 > copolymer FN-1/AN-2 > PFN-1. 6 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab
