Description

The Bethe-Salpeter equation with covariant, separable interactions is introduced as a tool to study the importance of relativity in few-nucleon systems. The features of this approach are demonstrated through explicit applications to the deuteron and the trinucleon. Thus, significant relativistic effects are obtained. Possible improvements and generalisations are discussed. (orig.)
