Slowing down of heavy ions in a diatomic target
- 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Fontenay-aux-Roses, 92 (France). Section d'Etude des Solides Irradies
Description
A computational code is described which determines the range, the energy transferred to the lattice and the number of primary knock-on atoms created during the slowing down of a heavy ion in a diatomic target. The code has been applied to the case of fission fragments slowing down in UO2. (author)
