Description
Eigenchannel quantum defect theory describes perturbed Rydberg series of an atom or ion in terms of a set of parameters. These parameters are calculated by means of a Hartree-Fock program developed by Froese-Fischer for ions. The perturbed spectra of ions along an isoelectronic sequence can be studied by analyzing these parameters as functions of effective nuclear charge z
