Immunotherapy and -scintigraphy of tumors with monoclonal antibodies

Description

Research in Oncology has recently been focused on new developments in tumor immunology. Gene cloned hematopoietic growth factors as well as monoclonal antibodies may be powerful tools for adjuvant treatment of cancer. The papers of this book show first successes in the applications of radiolabelled monoclonal antibodies for tumor localization (pancreatic and colon carcinomas and melanomas) by planar imaging and SPECT and in clinical and immunological response to the therapy; but there are also problems - such as side effects - which still have to be solved. Separate records were prepared for 8 papers of these proceedings. (TRV) With 51 figs., 40 tabs
